Slowly but surely, TreVeyon Henderson is taking over the Patriots’ backfield.

The rookie running back out-carried Rhamondre Stevenson in New England’s Week 3 loss to the Steelers after the latter fumbled twice.

The pair essentially split touches last Sunday before the Patriots ran away with the 42-13 home blowout win over the Panthers, while veteran Antonio still gets several attempts per game.

While it has been a drawn-out process, Henderson is starting to show why the Pats used their second-round pick on the Ohio State product, who may finally lock down the RB1 role in a sneaky easy road matchup on “Sunday Night Football”
