The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a pedestrian fatality.

Shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, officers responded to a 911 call about a person struck by a vehicle, according to the WPD news release.

First-responders located the person in the 400 block of North College Road. The person passed away at the scene, the release said.

The name of the person is being withheld by police at this time until family members are notified.
