An Aldi Food Market is coming to Barnegat Township.
Barnegat Township Planning Board members approved the supermarket during a meeting on Sept. 30.
No opening date has been set for the new 19,631-square-foot store.
Planned for 10 Barnegat Blvd., the discount grocery chain is planned for an area near an existing Walgreens and neighboring residential homes.
Aldi, a German-founded international discount grocery store chain, is known for its ‘no-frills’ model offering mostly private-label brands.
Aldi currently has 64 stores in New Jersey, according to the company’s website .
