Rangers are set to sack head coach Russell Martin following the 1-1 draw at Falkirk on Sunday.
An official announcement is expected from the club.
One win from seven in the Scottish Premiership and 11 points behind in the title race, pressure increased on Martin as Falkirk came from behind to gain a draw.
A group of fans blocked the team bus outside the Falkirk Stadium and Martin was given a police escort to his car after being booed relentlessly during and after another disappointing game for the Ibrox side.
Martin insisted Rangers are "improving" after the game as he fought to save his job but Sky Sports' Kris Boyd predicted things to "get worse" if he stayed at Ibrox.
Speaking after the draw, Martin insisted he had to look at the bigger picture and he will "help them until I'm told
