India beat Pakistan by 88 runs in their Women’s World Cup clash on Sunday.

Batting first after losing the toss, India put up a total of 247 runs in 50 overs. Although several Indian players got good starts, most couldn’t turn them into big scores on the slow pitch. Harleen Deol scored 46 , while Richa Ghosh added a quick 35 not out to push India closer to the 250-mark.

In response, Pakistan had a poor start , losing three wickets for just 26 runs in under eight overs. They were eventually bowled out for 159 runs in 43 overs .

Sidra Amin was the only standout for Pakistan, scoring 81 runs from 106 balls , while Natalia Pervaiz chipped in with 33. The rest of the lineup struggled to
