DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Police are investigating after three people were hit by gunfire on the north side of Decatur Sunday afternoon.

The Decatur Police Department had the corner of North Union Street and West Sawyer Street blocked off just before 2 p.m., and officers were investigating.

The department told WAND that three people were hit, but their statuses are unknown.

Neighbors on the scene said bullets hit their home.

The incident is still under investigation. WAND is working to learn more.
