FORT WORTH, Texas. (WFLA) — The Fort Worth Zoo announced the birth of a brand-new baby Asian elephant calf born on Aug. 18.

The zoo reported that the baby is female and was born healthy, weighing 250 pounds and standing proudly at 36 inches tall.

The bundle of joy was born to an elephant named Bluebonnet, who was the first elephant calf born at the zoo in 1998. The baby's father is named Romeo, and she has an almost 4-year-old brother named Brazos.

Video captured by the Fort Worth Zoo shows the baby calf in action as she moves around and even picks up food with her trunk.
