Called by longtime Indians broadcaster Howard Kellman on Aug. 7, it was the moment the Central Catholic graduate realized he got a step closer toward achieving his dream.
Bowen was promoted from Double-A the day before. If hitting a home run in his first Triple-A at-bat wasn’t miraculous enough, he wasn’t even supposed to be in the lineup after cutting his hand.
