BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Police are investigating an overnight shooting that sent one person to Erie County Medical Center over the weekend.
The shooting happened shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday in the area of 30 East Amherst St., according to a City of Buffalo spokesperson. That's where a 20-year-old man — identified as a Buffalo State University student — was shot in the arm.
The man was taken by ambulance to ECMC. The injuries were not considered to be life-threatening, and he's currently listed as stable.
"According to initial reports, the victim and a friend were confronted at a party by a group of unknown individuals. The altercation escalated outside, where shots were fired," police said in a statement.
