LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- The Hispanic Football Hall of Fame released their initial watch list for its Hispanic College Football Player of the Year Award. The newly introduced award recognizes the college football player of Hispanic descent that makes the largest impact on and off the field.

Texas Tech senior linebacker Jacob Rodriguez was one of 15 players selected by the organization for their outstanding play and excellence on their teams. Notably, Rodriguez was the lone selection from the Big 12.
