The Holland-Springfield-Spencer Historical Society Museum has new firefighting displays on exhibit.
In conjunction with Fire Prevention Month in October, the museum, at 7154 Front St., is featuring local fire department history. Capt. Mike Kokocinski of the Springfield Township Fire Department has provided a number of pieces, said Jane Maiolo, museum director.
The museum is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays.
Special hours are Oct. 18 when vintage fire trucks will be on display, and Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. when it will be open for trick-or-treat.
To mark Veterans Day in November, new pieces from June, 1944, including a Naval magazine and documentation from the World War II battleship USS Alabama, will be on display.
