SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) —The City of Sevierville has canceled the remainder of the Slammedenuff car show at the Sevierville Convention Center. This decision comes after reported disturbances, safety concerns, and a strain on county-wide public resources. 6 News talked to people who witnessed the chaotic scene.

"Last night was crazy," said Hunter Brooks a car enthusiast who saw the incident.

The Sevierville Police Department stated reckless behavior, late night noise, and public safety challenges had reached an 'unacceptable and unsustainable' level over the weekend.

"There's all kinds of stuff on social media already of cops, people getting on the pumps and all that stuff. So, cops came, cleared everyone out. We got all behind these barriers. There was like 50 cops just all standing
