LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Making a change in the community was the theme for Sunday’s 42nd annual Crop Hunger Walk.

Walking is an easy task, so why not do it with a purpose?

That’s what two dozen Michiganders did this afternoon, along with helping raise funds to support local food pantries at the 42nd Annual Crop Hunger Walk.

Barb Myckowik and Joanne Williams, Co-Leaders of the Charlotte Area Crop Hunger Walk, say 25% of the funding they raise is going to three different local organizations: Helping Hands Food Pantry, Siren Shelter, and St. Vincent De Paul.

Williams says the rest will go to CROP, an international organization.
