Canada’s World Cup hopes were dealt a severe blow as star centre-back Moise Bombito suffered a fractured left tibia on Sunday. The 25-year-old Nice defender suffered the injury in a Ligue 1 match, getting tangled up with United States national team forward Folarin Balogun during a 2-2 draw against Monaco.
