A 13-year-old girl has been missing in Canberra for two days, and was last seen in the city's north.

ACT police were seeking the public's assistance to find missing 13-year-old Janessa Williams.

Janessa was last seen leaving a residence in Franklin about 3pm on Saturday afternoon, October 4.

She was described as Aboriginal in appearance and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black ripped jeans and grey/white Nike sneakers.

Concerns are held for Janessa's welfare, and police are requesting the public's assistance to locate her.
