Laura Galeano and her family arrived to the United States from Colombia three years ago. They settled in Hudson County where Galeano is now a senior at North Bergen.

Galeano, then ranked No. 1 in Columbia’s junior tennis circuit, wanted a better opportunity as she dreamt of continuing playing the sport in college.
