Former football star Mark Sanchez was released from the hospital and sent straight to jail after he allegedly assaulted an elderly man who then stabbed him during a drunken Indianapolis brawl, according to reports.

Sanchez, 38, was discharged from the hospital Sunday morning after being treated for stab wounds to the chest he sustained Friday night, TMZ reported .

But the former Jets Quarterback wasn’t sent on his merry way. Instead, Sanchez was brought to central booking at the Marion County Jail, as he’d already been arrested and charged with public intoxication and battery while he was in the hospital. 4

Sanchez likely won’t spend any time behind bars, however, as he reportedly posted his $300 cash bond before being booked.
