SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – With ballots set to go out in less than two weeks, Spokane County officials are urging residents to focus on local races. The upcoming general election on November 4 will see ballots distributed across the county.

Local leaders, such as city council members and mayors, significantly impact daily life, deciding on law enforcement and infrastructure issues, like pothole repairs. School boards also play a crucial role in shaping educational content.

Spokane County officials stress the importance of participating in local elections, as they affect social, moral, and tax issues on a personal level.

“The biggest misconception is that if it’s local, it doesn’t matter,” said a county official. “But local is so important because it’s where we live.”
