SCRANTON, Pa. — The 5th Annual Honeybee and Harvest Day was held at the James B. McNulty Greenhouse in Nay Aug Park, Lackawanna County , on Sunday.

Organizers say the day centered around our bees and their vital role in the harvest season. Everyone was also encouraged to wear their best honeybee costume to participate in a costume parade.

Kimberly Crafton from the Greenhouse Project said, "We love our community and we love growing it in every way we can, from the youth through our older adults. The more we can be together and come together for common causes, the happier we are."

This free festival also featured apple cider pressing, local food, dozens of vendors, and games for all to enjoy, celebrating the bees.
