WASHINGTON, D.C. (Atlanta News First) - Georgia Congresswoman Nikema Williams and City of Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens have secured a relief package for TSA workers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
According to the congresswoman’s office, new relief measures have been approved to support TSA workers at the airport during the government shutdown.
The shutdown, which began on Wednesday, Oct. 1, has left thousands of federal workers, including TSA workers, without pay, even while they continue to work.
Starting on Oct. 11, the following relief measures will begin to roll out to help TSA workers be able to continue their security duties:
Free Parking: TSA employees will have access to complimentary parking during their shifts.
Meal Vouchers: Full-time TSA employees wi
