LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
A Halloween party fit for a hero. Boo at the Zoo held firefighter night on Sunday.
Firefighters from across the county made an appearance at the Louisville Zoo to hand out candy and pose for pictures with their tinies fans.
More than 40 firefighters from Anchorage, Middletown, Fairdale, Fern Creek, Jeffersontown, Louisville Fire, Okolona, Pleasure Ridge Park, St. Matthews, Zoneton, Nichols and Southeast Bullitt Fire attended the event.
Throughout the zoo, the firefighters handed out candy to the trick-or-treaters, giving kids and partygoers a chance to meet real-life superheroes.
While the firefighters will not be attending the rest of the events, Boo at the Zoo remains open Thursdays through Sundays, until Oct. 30.
