WASHINGTON, D.C. -- A man from South Jersey was arrested in Washington, D.C. for allegedly possessing explosives before a gathering of the traditional Red Mass Sunday morning.

Authorities say 41-year-old Louis Geri of VIneland, New Jersey had set up a tent on the steps outside of St. Matthew's Cathedral.

Inside police found vials of liquid and what appeared to be fireworks.

Geri is charged with unlawful entry, threats to injure, and possession of a molotov cocktail.

Geri was previously barred from the property.
