There was something for everybody at the Wagga Picnic Races.

The event at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club was held under sunny skies on Saturday, October 4.

The fashions on the field was the highlight for many, including Leonni Whalan, who won the best female in the Golden Oldies 60 years and over category.

Ms Whalan said her daughter, Elizabeth Paterson, inspired her to be more involved in fashion.

"Not for many years I wasn't [interested in fashion], but when she [her daughter] became involved, I got involved; it's a lovely interest to have when you're a senior," she said.

The crowd was filled with people from all around the state.
