Maybe George Pickens was the problem (or part of it) while with the Pittsburgh Steelers . Or, maybe it just wasn't a great fit. We'll likely never know the answer to that, but one thing is certain — Pickens has been the answer for the Dallas Cowboys in the absence of fellow wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.
Not only has Pickens stepped up big when his number is called, but he's proven to be the type of threat opposite Lamb that makes quarterback Dak Prescott's life a whole lot easier. Through five weeks, Pickens has tallied 357 receiving yards and five touchdowns, finding the end zone in four straight games.
Beyond that, as WFAA's Ed Werder revealed, Pickens was ready and willing to go to bat for his quarterback while speaking to the media, openly addressing the "hate" Prescott receives.
