Hundreds come looking for candy, community

ASHTABULA — Masked creatures could be seen walking as much as half a mile from the Ashtabula Area City Schools elementary campus Sunday afternoon for a trunk or treat event.

Some of the costume-clad children and their parents walked from area homes, but most parked on the outer edges of the complex and walked to the center bus drop-off area, where they found cars and other vehicles packed with candy and other goodies.
