FLOVILLA — The Butts County Historical Society and the Ocmulgee Archeological Society will host the 18th Annual Seven Islands Archeology Day on Saturday, Oct. 11.
The free event is scheduled at the Indian Spring Hotel/Museum from noon to 4 p.m. Tours of the museum, built in 1823, will be available.
Children can enjoy pottery-making and learn of the native cultural ways and throw the AtlATl and bow and arrows.
The public is encouraged to bring artifacts of any type or era to be examined on-site during the event. Members of the Ocmulgee Archeological Society will be on hand to help identify items.
