A 51-year-old Indian-origin motel owner was shot in the head and killed on Friday afternoon after he stepped outside to check on a disturbance in the parking lot of the Pittsburgh Motel in Robinson. Police identified the victim as Rakesh Ehagaban, who died at the scene. According to a criminal complaint and local media reports(Triblive.com), the shooter, Stanley Eugene West, 37, was staying in a room at the motel and opened fire on Ehagaban when he asked him, “Are you alright, bud?” Surveillance footage cited in the complaint shows West continuing to walk toward Ehagaban before raising his firearm and shooting him in the head at point-blank range.
