TROY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - WBRC’s Josh Gauntt received a high honor from his alma mater. He was named 2025 “Television Journalist of the Year” for Troy University’s Hall School of Journalism and Communication.

After thoughtful consideration and a vote by the JACA Board, Josh’s name rose to the top. The JACA says his hard work, dedication and impact in the journalism field make Josh a deserving honoree.

The award presentation was apart of the 50th anniversary of Troy TrojanVision, the on-campus television station. Several others were honored as well for work in their respective journalism and communication fields.
