Hugh Woodbury Hugh Woodbury died on the eve of his 97th birthday, September 23, 2025, in South Portland, Maine.

Born September 24, 1928 in Paterson, NJ to Eugene and Lena Esplin Woodbury, Hugh grew up in Altadena, CA. He earned a PhD in physics from Caltech in 1953. He worked for GE's R&D Center in Niskayuna, NY until retiring in 1990.
