A teacher and his partner, who was also a teacher, sexually abused primary school boys in Perth and during an excursion to Rottnest Island, the WA District Court has been told.

Rodney Neville Watkins, 76, is on trial accused of sexually abusing four primary school boys.

He was a primary school teacher when the offences allegedly occurred, between 1974 and the early 1980s.

The court heard Mr Watkins lived with his partner Robert Lefroy, who was also a teacher and is now deceased.
