Part of a major motorway has closed following a crash and vehicle fire, sparking lengthy delays for commuters.

Lanes 3 and 4 on the M25 between junctions 16 and 17 have closed.

Highways England said this morning in a post shared to X/Twitter: "Delays of 90 minutes and approx. 9 miles congestion reaching back to J14 @HeathrowAirport. If travelling to #Heathrow this morning please allow extra journey time."
