As Patriots players ran off the field after upsetting the Bills in Buffalo, Mike Vrabel was waiting for them in the Highmark Stadium tunnel outside the locker room.

It’s become a familiar sight after wins this season. The coach wants to congratulate his players personally. So why is that something that’s important for Vrabel to do?

“This is their day. I’m happy for them,” Vrabel said after a 23-20 win. “We challenge them all week. We push them. We coach them. Whether they think I’m an (expletive) during the week or not, I don’t know. But I’m going to try to coach the heck out of them all week and try to get them ready and the things that I think are important for us to do, try to get to do them. Then they get to the game.
