Sep 28, 2025; Kansas City, Missouri, USA; Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (15) calls a play during the second quarter against the Baltimore Ravens at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

One game remains in Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season and it's an AFC battle between two playoff hopefuls.

The Kansas City Chiefs (2-2) opened the season with back-to-back losses but have since bounced back with convincing wins over the Giants and at home against Baltimore, securing a 37-20 victory. The three-time defending AFC champions will look to continue their upward trajectory on Monday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-1).

Jacksonville is off to its best start of the season since 2018 and is eager to keep pace with the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans in a wide-open AFC South. The Jaguars are coming off an impressive 26-21 road win over the San Francisco 49ers but enter this matchup with the Chiefs, an opponent they've failed to defeat in eight consecutive meetings.

Jacksonville leads the league in takeaways entering Week 5 with 13 and will have its hands full tonight against the Chiefs, who have just one turnover on the season.

Patrick Mahomes is coming off a four-touchdown performance and tonight will be the second game since Xavier Worthy returned from a shoulder injury he suffered early in Week 1, should he play.

The second-year receiver reeled in five catches for 83 yards and added 38 rushing yards in his return. The Jaguars are allowing the ninth-most passing yards per game (233.5) and the fourth-highest third-down conversion rate (45.6%).

The Jaguars' offense also boasts a ton of talent, led by quarterback Trevor Lawrence – although he's struggled to get on the same page as his top wide receivers Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter entering Week 5.

In their first season under general manager James Gladstone and head coach Liam Coen, Jacksonville hopes to iron things out quickly on the offensive side.

Kansas City is attempting to climb back in the AFC West division that it has reigned for nine consecutive seasons and Jacksonville is vying to prove to be one of the top AFC teams in 2025.
