TORONTO — Rogers Centre continues to be a house of horrors for the Yankees this year.
After losing six of seven games in Toronto during the regular season, the Yankees are now 1-8 in the Blue Jays’ home ballpark after two humiliating losses to begin the Division Series.
Yankees ace Max Fried, who was lit up in Sunday’s 13-7 loss, has had three clunkers in his three of starts across the border this year. Fried gave up seven earned runs on eight hits with two walks and as many home runs allowed as strikeouts (one). In the regular season, Fried posted a 6.35 ERA (eight earned runs in 11 1/3 innings) at Rogers Centre. The Yankees lost all three of those games.
