DALLAS — Dallas Area Rapid Transit passengers faced delays Sunday evening after a deadly shooting at Pearl/Arts District Station, officials said.

DART said on social media , just before 8 p.m., that all rail passengers may experience delays and should try to board shuttle buses at SMU/Mockingbird, Deep Ellum, EBJ Union and Victory stations while service is disrupted.

The agency apologized for the inconvenience and thanked riders for their patience. Just before 10 p.m., DART announced that the scene was cleared and all trains had resumed normal operations.

According to DART Public Relations Director Jasmyn Carter, DART Police responded to a call about an active shooter Sunday evening. Carter said that the shooting resulted in one death and that the suspect in the shooting was in custod
