There’s less time to think, and not as much room to manoeuvre and, in turn, buy time for yourself.
“It’s just different,” says Willhoft, a 2007-born forward who was taken in the first round, 40th overall, by the Blades in the 2025 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft.
“It’s just a lot faster and the rink is smaller.”
Yet the quick tempo of the game is also the thrill of it all.
