YSR Congress party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is said to be going in a strategic way to fight the next assembly elections in the state and return to power.

According to highly placed sources, Jagan has begun recalibrating his political approach, correcting past mistakes and preparing for a renewed campaign to regain lost ground.

In the past two elections, in which the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) had worked with the YSR Congress Party — first under Prashant Kishor in 2019 and later under Rishiraj Singh in 2024.

While Jagan stormed to power in 2019, the party suffered defeat in 2024, prompting a major review of his political machinery.
