WAUPACA, Wis. (WBAY) - A driver is hospitalized after being trapped in their vehicle after a crash outside Waupaca Sunday night.

The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office says the driver left the roadway for reasons that are still under investigation.

The crash was reported along County Highway E near Bow & Arrow Dr. at 7:47 p.m.

Responding deputies and other emergency personnel started lifesaving measures before the driver could be taken to a hospital.

No one else was in the car, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by ThedaStar, Gold Cross Ambulance, the Waupaca Fire Department and Wisconsin State Patrol.
