The Blues did not waive Texier on Sunday – which was the final day to waive players and still have them clear before Monday’s 4 p.m. roster deadline – a move that essentially guaranteed Texier a spot on the St. Louis active roster. Texier entered training camp battling for a job, and likely fits in as a healthy scratch when the Blues begin the regular season on Thursday night vs. Minnesota.
Texier is going into his second season in St. Louis, having posted six goals and five assists in 31 games last season. He was a healthy scratch 37 times in 2024-25 and missed another 14 games due to injury or illness.
