Things looked bleak for the Denver Broncos heading into the final quarter on the road against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Down 17-3 on the road in that environment and against an undefeated champion is not usually a winnable situation. Instead, the entire team rallied to score 18-unanswered points for the biggest win in Sean Payton’s career in Denver.
Bo Nix and the offense was as efficient as ever, scoring on three consecutive possessions, while the defense shut down the Eagles offense and forced three consecutive three-and-outs to help the comeback along. At 3-2, the Broncos enter the ‘soft’ portion of their schedule with a chance to get onto a run heading into their not-so-soft portion of their schedule in the second half of the season.
