Airports will get noisier within 25 years due to global warming , warns new research.

Thousands more people living near airports will be affected by aircraft noise as temperatures rise, say scientists.

Warmer air due to climate change will tend to make departing aircraft create more noise pollution around European airports by 2050, according to the study.

Researchers looked at how rising air temperatures change the way aircraft take off.

They explained that warmer air is less dense, reducing lift generation and keeping aircraft closer to the ground for longer periods after departure.

Their study, published in the journal Aerospace , analyzed three possible future scenarios based on how much greenhouse gas pollution humans produce.

On average, departing aircra
