LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Metro Police are investigating a shooting in the Chickasaw neighborhood that left two teenagers injured.

The incident reportedly happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Officers initially responded to the 3300 block of Greenwood Avenue after ShotSpotter detected shots fired in the area. Officers did not find anyone at the scene but didn’t find a victim.

A short time later and nearly a mile away, police were called to the 3300 block of West Broadway after a shooting victim arrived at that location.

When they arrived, they found two females believed to be 16 years old with a gunshot wound.

Officers helped the victims until EMS arrived to transport them to the hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
