Inside, officers found the body of Barbara Morgan, 71, of Simcoe.
Morgan’s death is considered a homicide, police say.
The investigation continues at the Simcoe house, involving forensic officers and representatives from the coroner’s office.
An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
