The Carolina Panthers entered Week 5 with a 1-3 record and desperately needed to change the mood around their season following a 42-13 loss to the New England Patriots.
After falling into a 17-0 hole, they were able to do just that, thanks largely to the legs of running back Rico Dowdle . Dowdle got the start against a beleaguered Miami defense with Chuba Hubbard out with an injury and took full advantage of his opportunity, racking up 206 rushing yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.
The Panthers have struggled to find consistency once again in 2025, but are 2-0 at home ahead of their Week 6 clash with the Dallas Cowboys – Dowdle’s former team – at Bank of America Stadium.
