New Delhi: On Monday, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said that in the next four to six months, the electric vehicle (EV) prices in India will be the same as the price for petrol-powered vehicles. Present at the 20th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2025, Gadkari said India’s heavy dependence on fossil fuels is both an economic strain and an environmental challenge, noting that the country spends Rs 22 trillion annually on fuel imports.
