Despite being a Democrat, U.S. Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania is losing support among voters in his party while GOP voters are increasingly warming up to him, according to a new poll.
The survey from Quinnipiac University , released on Oct. 1, showed Fetterman with an overall approval rating of 46% and an overall disapproval rating of 38% among likely voters in Pennsylvania.
When broken down by party, however, a majority of Republicans (62%) approve of the work Fetterman has done, while only 33% of Democrats shared the same opinion.
In fact, a majority of Democrats (54%) expressed disapproval of Fetterman’s work as a senator, compared to 21% of Republicans.
Of the voters who identified as independents, an equal number (43%) said they approved and disapproved of Fetterman.
