Another top executive at grocery chain Market Basket has been fired, bringing the total to seven company leaders removed in the past few months.

The company’s Board of Directors wrote in a Sept. 22 letter to Senior Executive Susan Dufresne notifying her of her termination that her “actions and conduct have diverged from the best interests of Market Basket.” They specified that in the months since former CEO Arthur T. Demoulas was suspended in May, Dufresne had “disclosed confidential company information to the press” and made public statements the board viewed as false.

“We are aware that your dedication to Mr. Demoulas may have driven you to take these actions,” the board wrote. “But this was not the way to voice your opinions. The path you chose to take was not appropriate.”
