In a landmark moment for Arunachal Pradesh’s economic and industrial growth, Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy, along with Chief Minister Pema Khandu, inaugurated the state’s first commercial coal mine at Namchik Namphuk in Changlang district on Monday. The inauguration marks the official commencement of commercial coal mining in the state, positioning Arunachal Pradesh firmly on India’s energy and industrial map.

The event began with the Bhumi Pujan ceremony and a tree plantation drive under the “100-Tree Plantation Initiative” led jointly by the Union Minister and the Chief Minister.
