Wayne County fired two former directors at its Juvenile Detention Center for raising concerns about a directive to house non-violent and violent kids, as well as co-defendants, together and a third resigned just before she believed she was going to be fired, according to a new lawsuit.

Former Facilities Director Tamika Lofton and Deputy Director Anthony Moorman allege they were fired in early July for raising concerns about a directive from contractor National Partnership for Juvenile Services to consolidate living quarters for co-defendants and violent juveniles, according to a lawsuit filed Oct. 1 in Wayne County Circuit Court.
