MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Madison Police Department officers arrested a suspect Friday morning after a robbery and attempted robbery at businesses on Madison’s east side.

MPD says the call came in around 11 a.m. on the 2900 block of East Washington Avenue.

Employees of the business recognized the suspect as an individual who was banned from the business. Employees chased the individual away.

The suspect then ran off to another area business, where the suspect stole cash from the business before running away again.

Madison officers found and arrested the 44-year-old suspect nearby. The suspect faces two counts of armed robbery and a probation violation.
